    Warframe uses the word slot in ways that can confuse new players. In a normal combat loadout, you usually equip one Primary weapon, one Secondary weapon, and one Melee weapon. Inventory weapon slots are different: they control how many weapons you can own at the same time. When your weapon inventory is full, you may need to buy more slots, sell a weapon, or delay claiming a weapon from the Foundry. This matters because many weapons give Mastery progress as you rank them. Selling a weapon before ranking it can waste easy Mastery and force you to acquire it again later.
