    Learning goals

    • Understand companion weapons at a basic level.
    • Understand Necramech weapons at a basic level.
    • Understand Railjack armaments at a basic level.
    • Understand Operator Amps at a basic level.
    • Understand Drifter weapons as content-specific systems.
    • Learn which systems are learn-later systems.

    Explanation

Warframe has many weapon systems beyond Primary, Secondary, and Melee. Companion weapons belong to companions, not your Warframe's normal loadout. Necramechs are large combat machines used in specific content and often connect to Archgun-style weapons. Railjack armaments are ship weapons and equipment. Operator Amps are tied to Operator progression and later-game systems. Some Drifter tools, including Sirocco-context weapons or Drifter melee, belong to specific story or mode contexts rather than normal early Arsenal planning.

    What should I do?

Use a priority order: learn Primary, Secondary, and Melee first; learn basic companion behavior next; learn Operator Amp basics when the story introduces them; learn Archgun and Necramech weapons when those systems unlock; learn Railjack armaments when you begin Railjack; and learn Drifter-specific weapons inside their content.

    How to avoid wasting time

Do not try to optimize every visible weapon system at once. Warframe progression is layered, so learn the system that affects your current missions first.

    Common mistakes

Watch for these beginner inventory and Arsenal mistakes.

    • Treating every weapon category as equally urgent.
    • Spending resources on systems not yet used.
    • Confusing companion weapons with personal weapons.
    • Confusing Railjack armaments with normal weapons.
    • Expecting Operator Amps to feel like normal guns.
    • Ignoring content-specific weapon rules.

    Key Takeaways

    • Warframe has many weapon systems, but they do not all compete for your attention at the same time.

    Practical task

    A map prevents system overload.

    1. Write these labels: Normal weapons, Companion weapons, Archgun / Heavy weapons, Necramech weapons, Railjack armaments, Operator Amps, Drifter-specific weapons, and Exalted weapons.
    2. Mark each label as Learn now, Learn soon, or Learn later.
    3. Put Primary, Secondary, and Melee under Learn now.
    4. Put any system you have not unlocked under Learn later.
    5. Review your current goals and choose one system to focus on this week.

You can explain which weapon systems matter to your current account and which can wait.
