    Learning goals

    • Understand that Warframes are the main playable combat suits.
    • Understand that each Warframe has a role, stats, abilities, and a playstyle.
    • Understand that no Warframe is best for every situation.

    Explanation

A Warframe is your main playable suit in most missions. It controls base stats, movement feel, abilities, survivability tools, and often your squad role. A Warframe is similar to a class in other games, but more flexible. Some frames deal damage, some tank, some support, some control enemies, some farm resources, and some use weapons as their main damage source. A Warframe is not only appearance. It is a kit: base stats, passive, active abilities, synergies, survival tools, weapon interactions, and build options.

    Controls and smart use

Default controls and menu paths can differ by platform and custom settings. If your controls do not match, follow the action name in Options > Controls or the Arsenal menu label.

    • Open your Arsenal before judging a frame. Read the passive and all four abilities instead of only checking appearance.
    • Use 1/2/3/4 in missions to test ability slots on PC defaults, then verify custom bindings in Options > Controls.
    • Smart use: ask what job the frame wants to do before deciding whether it is weak, strong, or worth investment.

    What should I do?

When you get a new Warframe, ask what the frame's job is, which ability keeps you alive, which ability helps kill, control, support, or farm, which ability stats matter, whether it needs energy often, and whether it relies on weapons, abilities, or both.

    Common mistakes

Avoid these patterns before spending rare resources.

    • Thinking a Warframe is bad because it felt weak at rank 0.
    • Copying a build without reading abilities.
    • Assuming every frame should be built the same way.
    • Choosing only by appearance and ignoring the kit.
    • Expecting one Warframe to be perfect for every mission.

    Key Takeaways

    • A Warframe is your combat suit and role package. Learn what the kit wants before deciding how to build it.

    Practical task

This teaches you to evaluate a Warframe before investing resources.

    1. Open your Arsenal.
    2. Choose one Warframe you own.
    3. Read its passive ability.
    4. Read all four active abilities.
    5. Write down what the frame seems good at.
    6. Write down one thing that might keep it alive.
    7. Write down one ability stat you think might matter.

You can describe the Warframe in one sentence.
