    Purpose

Mods are a broad Platinum source. You farm or acquire tradeable mods, then sell the ones other players need for builds. The best categories are Corrupted Mods, Nightmare Mods, Augment Mods, Galvanized Mods, Primed Mods, rare stance mods, and event mods.

    METHOD-SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

    • You need access to the activity that drops the mod category you want.
    • Some farms require specific keys, quests or Star Chart progress.
    • You need Credits for trade tax.
    • Ranked mods cost Endo and Credits to upgrade, so calculate that cost before selling max-rank versions.
    • Not every mod is tradeable. Flawed Mods and certain login/Daily Tribute rewards are not normal trade goods.

WHERE TO GO / WHO TO USE

    1. 1Deimos Orokin Vaults: Corrupted Mods.
    2. 2Nightmare missions on Star Chart: Nightmare Mods.
    3. 3Syndicate consoles: Augment Mods.
    4. 4Arbitrations vendor: Galvanized Mods.
    5. 5Baro Ki'Teer: Primed Mods and special mods when available.
    6. 6Specific mission nodes/enemies: rare stances and niche mods.
    7. 7Clan Dojo or Maroo's Bazaar: trade.

    STEP-BY-STEP FARMING OR ACQUISITION ROUTE

    1. 1Pick a mod category.
      • Beginners: Corrupted Mods are usually the easiest reliable market.
      • Midgame: Augment Mods and Nightmare Mods.
      • Later: Galvanized Mods, Primed Mods, rare stances and event mods.
    1. 2Corrupted Mods route.
      • Craft Dragon Keys from the Orokin Lab in a Clan Dojo if you have access.
      • Equip keys in your Gear Wheel. Each key gives a penalty.
      • Go to Deimos nodes using the old Orokin Derelict tileset.
      • Search the map for an Orokin Vault door.
      • Open it with the matching Dragon Key.
      • Complete the mission and extract to receive a Corrupted Mod.
      • Popular examples include Blind Rage, Transient Fortitude, Overextended, Narrow Minded, Fleeting Expertise and Heavy Caliber.
    1. 3Nightmare Mods route.
      • Complete all nodes on a planet to unlock Nightmare missions for that planet.
      • Run Nightmare missions when they appear.
      • Finish the mission under the special modifiers.
      • Keep desirable drops such as Lethal Torrent, Blaze, Hammer Shot and similar build-relevant mods depending on current demand.
    1. 4Augment Mods route.
      • Join and rank up with Syndicates.
      • Earn Standing by equipping Sigils where applicable and completing Syndicate missions.
      • Buy Warframe or weapon augments with Standing.
      • Sell augments that players need for popular builds.
    1. 5Galvanized Mods route.
      • Unlock Arbitrations by completing the Star Chart.
      • Run Arbitration missions for Vitus Essence.
      • Buy Galvanized Mods from the Arbitration Honors vendor.
      • Sell unranked copies or invest Endo/Credits to sell ranked copies if profit margin supports it.
    1. 6Primed Mods route.
      • Wait for Baro Ki'Teer to arrive.
      • Buy Primed Mods with Ducats and Credits.
      • Hold or sell depending on market price.
      • Primed Mods can carry high trade tax, so warn yourself before trading.

    STEP-BY-STEP SELLING ROUTE

    1. 1Confirm the mod is tradeable.
      • Try placing it in the trade UI or check reliable item references.
      • Check rank: rank 0 and max rank can have very different prices.
    1. 2Price-check.
      • On warframe.market, search exact mod name.
      • Compare unranked and max-rank listings separately.
      • For Primed Mods, factor in Baro availability and trade tax.
    1. 3Decide whether to rank it.
      • Ranking requires Endo and Credits.
      • Only rank if the price increase exceeds your resource cost and opportunity cost.
      • Many buyers prefer unranked to save Platinum.
    1. 4Sell.
      • List on warframe.market or advertise in Trade Chat.
      • Example: WTS [Blind Rage] 15p.
      • Example: WTS maxed [Primed Continuity] 180p, buyer covers normal trade tax implicitly through game system.
    1. 5Trade safely.
      • Add the correct ranked mod.
      • Confirm rank dots and name.
      • Verify Platinum.

    PRICING AND PROFIT STRATEGY

    • Corrupted Mods are stable because many builds need them.
    • Augment Mods convert Standing into Platinum, which is excellent passive value.
    • Primed Mods may be cheapest when Baro currently sells them and more expensive weeks/months later.
    • Maxed mods are a separate business: you are selling Endo and Credits in mod form.
    • Avoid ranking low-demand mods; Endo is valuable.

    COMMON MISTAKES TO AVOID

    • Selling a maxed mod at unranked price.
    • Ranking a mod without checking whether max-rank buyers exist.
    • Forgetting high Credit trade tax on Primed/Legendary mods.
    • Farming rare niche mods with poor demand instead of stable build staples.
    • Confusing similar mod names or variants.

    ADVANCED NOTES

A good beginner mod business is to farm Corrupted Mods for one hour, list every valuable duplicate, dissolve or keep low-value extras, then reinvest Platinum into slots or gear that improves farming speed.
